Badagry West LCDA endorses Destination Lagos Awards

By: Manoah Kikekon

Hon. Prince Apata Samson Nunayon, Managing Director of Eko Tourism Radio, founded the Oju Ibile-Eko Beauty Pageant and the Destination Lagos Awards (DELA), had got the support of the Executive Chairman of the Badagry West Local Council Development Area.

This endorsement is an important step towards promoting tourism and cultural development in Lagos State.

Being the local government closest to the border, Badagry West LCDA understands the value of collaboration in promoting cultural and economic exchange.

To draw tourists and investors to Lagos, DELA and the Oju Ibile-Eko Beauty Pageant provide an avenue for exhibiting the city's breathtaking natural surroundings and rich cultural legacy.

The endorsement also aligns with the goal of the Lagos State Government to grow the tourism industry. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has emphasised the importance of developing infrastructure and forming strategic partnerships to maximise Badagry's tourism potential.

The Executive Chairman of Badagry West LCDA is stressing the council's commitment to advancing both cultural excellence and economic growth in the area by endorsing DELA and the Oju Ibile-Eko Beauty Pageant. This collaboration will surely help these projects succeed and solidify Lagos State's position as one of Nigeria's top travel destinations.

The collaboration will centre on three main areas: cultural exchange, which will highlight Lagos' rich cultural legacy through music, art, and traditional performances; tourism development, which will showcase Badagry's historic sites, scenic beauty, and tourist attractions; and economic empowerment, which will provide chances for local companies and entrepreneurs to prosper through tourism-related endeavours.

The partnership between Badagry West LCDA and Eko Tourism Radio has reached a major turning point with this endorsement, opening the door to greater opportunities for the growth of Lagos State's tourism and cultural industries.
