Terrorists in Katsina State murdered Salisu Ango, Governor Umar Dikko Radda's liaison officer in Kankia Local Government Area, and his first wife. His second wife was kidnapped during the raid.

Another incident in the Shirgi Community in Batsari Local Government Area saw terrorists kill one person, hurt another, and kidnap 28 more. They also stole some household animals. A villager who desired to remain anonymous stated that the attackers invaded the village at night, targeting specific homes and primarily taking women and children. Although some captives were able to escape, 28 people remained missing.

In a separate attack, terrorists stormed Gyaza hamlet, killing Salisu Ango and his first wife and kidnapping his second. The attack occurred on Friday night, about 10:00 p.m. According to some villagers, the bandits targeted Ango because he married one of their members' ex-wife, despite warnings.

Terrorists also invaded Tashar Gamji in Kankia LGA on Saturday night, taking livestock and other items from residents. Earlier this week, another attack in Marabar Kankara hamlet killed three people and injured five.

Police in Katsina have confirmed the attacks in Kankia and are investigating the incident in Batsari.
