Badagry Rep member Sesi Whingan to host Youths and Stakeholders

Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, the House of Representatives Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency, will host youths and stakeholder holders for two days under the theme Charting a Prosperous Future for Badagry.

This was disclosed on Monday in a press release made available to newsmen, by Mr. Peter Dansu, the media aid to the Rep member.

The events, under the theme, "Charting a Prosperous Future for Badagry: Unlocking Potential, Empowering People, and Accelerating Progress," are scheduled for August 28th and 29th, 2024.

The release started that the day 1, of the series, August 28th, will be dedicated to engaging with the youth of Badagry. "This forum will be held at Topa Guest House, Ajara, Badagry, and will serve as a vital platform for the youth to express their concerns, share their expectations, and explore opportunities for growth and development within the constituency. Hon. Sesi Whingan, a staunch advocate for youth empowerment and development, believes that this engagement will be instrumental in aligning the aspirations of Badagry’s young population with ongoing and future projects aimed at fostering sustainable growth."

It further stated that on day 2, August 29th, the focus will expand to include a broader spectrum of stakeholders at ASCON Hall, Topo, Badagry. This forum will bring together community leaders, political figures from both ruling and opposition parties, business communities and associations, traditional rulers, women’s groups, media personalities, and other key figures within Badagry. The aim of this gathering is to provide a comprehensive review of Hon. Sesi Whingan’s achievements over the past 14 months, to identify current challenges, and to chart a collaborative path forward for the sustainable development of Badagry.

Hon. Sesi Whingan emphasized the importance of these engagements, stating, “These forums are crucial in ensuring that the voices of our people are heard and that our developmental initiatives are inclusive and reflective of the collective aspirations of Badagry’s residents. I firmly believe that through collective dialogue and active participation, we can continue to build a better and more prosperous Badagry.”

The Honourable Member invites all concerned stakeholders to actively participate in these forums, as their contributions will be invaluable in shaping the future of Badagry.
