Real Acts of Kindness (RAK) Development Foundation, pioneered by the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, has facilitated food aid from the Lagos Food Bank to communities in Ibiye, Olorunda LCDA, Badagry, Lagos State.
On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, residents in Ago-Egun, Baale Street (Ago-Anogo), Sandfield, Ago-Ilaje, Oke-Suna, and other communities in Ibiye were beneficiaries of foodstuffs (rice) from the Lagos Food Bank, a non-governmental organization in Lagos State created to foster food security.
:This has never happened here; we thank you for your ceaseless efforts," a resident said.
Mr. Bankole Adegbola Ezekiel, community youth leader, participated in the distribution alongside the CDA Chairman said this is one of its kind as all the food aid went to widows.
"This has never happened here; it's the first time we are experiencing this. One hundred percent of those we distributed to are widows, the aged, people who are less privileged, and people on sick beds, and they were very happy. This goes a long way; we look forward to more." Bankole said.
Mr. Kehinde Sule, the CEDA chairman, expressed deep-felt appreciation to Mr. Ogunlende, his foundation, RAK Development Foundation, and the Lagos Food Bank.
"On behalf of the good people of the Ibiye community, we say a big thank you to Lagos Food Bank for the food that you brought to our doorsteps, and to our Honorable Commissioner, Mr. RAK Foundation (Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende), we thank you for your ceaseless efforts and pray that the Almighty God will always be with you, guiding all your ways." Mr. Kehinde said.
