Daniel Semeton Dovoeke, a student of History and diplomacy (M.A.) 2021/2022 set in the department of history and international studies, faculty of arts, Lagos State University, Ojo, has graduated as the best graduating student in the masters of art (M.A) program in the department.
At the convocation ceremony held on the main campus on Wednesday, he told News Peddlers that he is filled with joy to have graduated with a cumulative grade point of 4.36, making him the best graduating student in the department.
Daniel said, "As I stand here today, honoured as the best graduating student in my department, I am filled with gratitude, joy, and a sense of accomplishment. This journey has been nothing short of remarkable, and I am humbled to have had the opportunity to excel alongside some of the brightest minds in the country.
"Throughout my academic tenure, I have been driven by a passion for learning, a thirst for knowledge, and a determination to make a meaningful impact in my field. The support of my family, friends, and my lecturers has been invaluable, and I am grateful for their unwavering belief in me.
"My department has been my second family, and I have had the privilege of learning from exceptional scholars and professionals. The academic rigour, combined with extracurricular activities and my dissertation, has prepared me for the challenges that lie ahead.
"As I move forward, I am committed to using my skills and knowledge to make a positive difference in the world. I hope to inspire others to strive for excellence, just as my predecessors have inspired me.
"Graduating with a PhD grade point is something worth celebrating, and I hope I get the required support and sponsorship to embark on a PhD.
"Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my success. I am proud to be part of this community, and I look forward to the next chapter in my journey.
I hope to always make Badagry proud".
