Mobolaji Ogunlende and the food he shared |
Mobolaji Ogunlende, the commissioner for youth and social development and the founder of the Real Acts of Kindness RAK Development Foundation, feeds 300 Badagrians daily through the Ramadan period.
Hon. Ogunlende manages the feeding program with precision and care in his primary constituency, alternating between Badagry Central Mosque on weekdays and other randomly selected mosques on weekends. This gesture has far-reaching consequences, embodying the essence of community spirit and solidarity in addition to providing sustenance.
Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Hon. Ogunlende has demonstrated unwavering compassion and dedication through his Annual Ramadan Feeding programme. This noble initiative feeds over 300 people per day, including adults and children, demonstrating his commitment to quenching thirst and empowering future generations.
With the wave of palliatives sweeping the country, Hon. Ogunlende's sustained efforts demonstrate his foresight and unwavering commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate. While others may only be beginning to recognise the significance of such initiatives, Hon. Ogunlende's long-standing commitment demonstrates his vision and dedication to the principles of kindness and compassion.
Among his many philanthropic efforts, including the recent food palliative distribution programme held at the start of Ramadan, this feeding programme stands out as a beacon of hope and compassion. Every evening, during iftar (breaking time), families from various backgrounds come together to enjoy sumptuous meals provided by this well-known philanthropist.
This initiative not only highlights Hon. Ogunlende's consistency and dedication, but it also stands out as a remarkable endeavour to emulate. His unwavering dedication to helping others, combined with his deep faith, exemplifies the spirit of Ramadan and reflects a man after God's heart.
As we face today's challenges, let us be inspired by the tireless efforts of Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende (RAK) and his RAK Foundation. In an era when the need for help is greater than ever, his example serves as a reminder of the power of empathy and the profound impact of repeated acts of kindness.
