The National Youth Council of Nigeria Badagry West Local Branch to host town hall meetings on March 23, 2024. To discuss matters arising in the local government.
This was disclosed to News Peddlers on Monday in a conversation with David Aladeotan, the coordinator NYCN Badagry West LCDA.
He said there is a need to give the people a report on the progress of his administration so far as his tenure is coming to an end. "We have done so much for our people during this period of four years, which the public may not know about, This meeting will give us the opportunity to inform our youths of our achievements and challenges."
Aladeotan said, looking at the situation of this country now, there are food shortages, contributing to the current hardship we are going through. "We can't leave it all to the federal and state government, there is a need to also do something at the grass-roots level, as we all have to tackle this together for us to see the effect. Looking at the population of the youths in this country, there's a need for the youths to be part of the economy revamping, as they consume more of the foods in the nation."
He said electricity is in a poor state in the local government, as there are communities that have not had electricity for some years. "There is a need to address it as it impacts negatively on people and the LCDA at large.
"2025 will soon be here, and the local government chairmanship election will be held. We have to know the manifesto of our aspirants, and this will let us know those who have the people at heart."
He added that the situation of the Gbaji Owode Road is not conducive, looking at the economic importance of the road to Nigeria and the Lagos States. It is important that the road be in good condition.
