The Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says the party is aware of the country's problems and that the government is working hard to address them.
Cornelius Ojelabi, the state party chairman, stated in his 2024 Easter message on Friday that the current phase would soon be a thing of the past, as President Bola Tinubu worked to turn things around.
The APC chairman also stated that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was doing his best to help residents during this difficult time.
While acknowledging that the current pains would eventually lead to gains, Mr Ojelabi urged Nigerians, particularly state residents, to be patient with the government and support leaders who want to improve things.
He urged Christians and Nigerians in general to use Easter as an opportunity to love others and be their brothers' keepers.
Mr Ojelabi also urged Christians to make sacrifices for others in the same way that Christ did for humanity's redemption.
He stated that as followers and believers of Christ, Christians should always see and accept Christ as their role model.
Mr. Ojelabi urged Christians to accept the lessons of Good Friday, which began with pain, agony, suffering, and challenges but ended with joy and blessings on Easter.
Mr. Ojelabi stated, "Jesus Christ made a great sacrifice by carrying his Cross on Good Friday amidst humiliation, persecution, and torture in order to save the world."
"We should also be ready at all times to forgive anyone who offends us, just as Christ forgave all of his persecutors before dying on the Cross.
"Let us continue to strengthen our relationships with God, our reliance on God and renewed hope in God, and he will surely perfect everything that concerns us at his appointed time."
The APC chairman also urged citizens to show respect for constituted authorities at all levels.
