On Monday, Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Enugu for the project's inauguration.
Governors Peter Mbah, Hope Uzodimma, Chukwuma Soludo, and Francis Nwifuru greeted Mr Shettima when he arrived at Enugu's Akanu Ibiam International Airport at 9.52 a.m. in a presidential jet 5N-FGW.
Others include Rochas Okorocha, former secretary to the federal government, Anyim Pius Anyim, traditional rulers, government officials, and dignitaries.
This is his first visit to the South-East since taking office on May 29, 2023.
Mr Shettima is expected to attend the South-East Business Roundtable, as well as the formal launch of the Light Up Nigeria Project's South-East Phase.
He is also expected to inaugurate the Aba Integrated Power Project, which has been organised by Geometric Power Limited's management.
