The Federal Road Safety Corps, the FRSC , Badagry Unit Command, has said that on Wednesday night, a Toyota Camry car crushed a man to death near Iyana Ajara on the Seme expressway in Badagry, Lagos.
Mr William Manga, Unit Commander, FRSC, Badagry Unit Command, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Badagry on Thursday, stating that the accident occurred at approximately 5.25pm.
He said the Toyota Camry lost control while speeding and collided with a man crossing the road, killing him, and that the victim's body had been taken to Badagry General Hospital.
"The driver of the Toyota Camry had been handed over to the Police for proper investigation and prosecution," the officer said.
Manga advised drivers to avoid reckless driving and to always conduct a routine check on their vehicles to ensure that the brake system was operational before getting on the road.
However, the unit commander expressed his condolences to the deceased's family and prayed that God would give them the strength to bear the loss.
