The Badagry Communities Youth Association has condemned the kidnapping of Lagos PDP chairman, charged the police to hasting his rescue mission, and prayed for his safe release.
This was made available to News Peddlers after a statement jointly issued by the President, Comr. Jacob Kumayon, and the General Secretary, Comr. Akonasu Gbedozin, on Sunday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aivoji, who is the Chairman, Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was among some other party chieftains who were abducted by gunmen on Thursday at the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The chairman and some other PDP chieftains were abducted while returning from the party’s Stakeholders’ Zonal Caucus Meeting convened by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in Ibadan.
Gbedozin said, "We encourage the Ogun state commissioners of police to expedite actions in ensuring his safe return to his family and loved ones."
Kumayon called on the president to declare an emergency on insecurity in the nation, as travelling across the nation is becoming difficult because of the increasing insecurity in almost all parts of the nation.
"We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to declare a state of emergency on insecurity," he said.
News Peddlers have further reported that nine of the victims have been recurred by the police, and searches for Aivoji Phillip have been intensified, according to Ogun State spokes person.
