Youth Artisan Initiative Foundation, a youth-centric community-based organisation, will celebrate Girl Child Day with one of Nollyhood Yoruba's finest, Mrs. Allwell Ademola, as the key note speaker and other invited guest speakers.
The International Day of the Girl Child Celebration/Conference is a yearly event to celebrate the girl child within and outside Badagry. The event is part of United Nations program to address the needs faced by the girl child.
The foundation is with an anchor vision of modelling youths to become models worthy of emulation in society.
Oladapo Sanni, the executive director, Youth Artisan Initiative Foundation, told News Peddlers that "it is in this vein that we have executed diverse capacity-building initiatives within and outside Badagry. Our organisation has remained resolute towards our course, and in this light, we are organising a conference for the girl child, which is to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child."
The Youth Artisan Initiative Foundation took it upon herself to organise such an event in Badagry this year, making it the 3rd edition, and each edition has brought in girl child ambassador celebrities and also girl child advocates. This year's celebration is happening on November 1, 2023, at French Village, Ajara Badagry, Lagos State, by 9am. registration fee is N2,500 only.
The fee covers their lunch and other conference materials. The event will showcase a beauty pageant, dance, drama, chorography, words on marble, and inspirational words from girl child advocates.
