The Kano State Agro-pastoral Development Project (KSADP) has granted N600 million for the construction of facilities at the Dawanau International Grain Market.
This was said on Wednesday by Ameen Yassar, a project communication expert in charge of the project in Kano.
The Islamic Development Bank and the life and livelihood funds, according to Mr Yassar, are funding the initiative.
He stated that the amenities included a four-kilometer road, drainage, and street lights, and that the Labour Technical Services Ltd. had been awarded the contract for the building of the road, drainage, and street lights for N508 million.
Mr Yassar stated that a contract for three lavatory blocks, a mosque, a police outpost, offices, and a conference room worth N92 million was issued to AITEC Infraconsult Ltd.
He stated that the project would be completed in 12 months.
