FG removes restrictions on student loans to provide buses for SUGs

To make student loans more accessible, President Bola Tinubu has approved the removal of all limitations.

In order to alleviate the cost of the removal of fuel subsidies, the President also authorised the provision of buses to student bodies at all higher institutions in the country.

According to a statement issued by Dele Alake, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy.

Tinubu remarked that he wants "students to be able to access their campuses without much difficulty as a result of higher transportation costs."

The President also stated that the deployment of buses would relieve parents and guardians of the additional cost of daily commuting.

"Similarly, President Tinubu has directed the authorities in all Federal Institutions of higher learning to avoid arbitrary increases in sundry fees payable and, where possible, defer further increases so that parents and students do not face undue hardship," the statement stated.
