Mrs. Bunmi Onilude, the President of Deborah International Outreach, supported by RAK Development Foundation, Walk Against Rape and Indirect Discrimination (WarAID) Solution Exhibition.

The program was held on Friday, at KemmySam Academy, Aradagun, Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria. To enlighten youths against rape and indecent dressing, especially females.

Antonia Balekan, a representative of RAK Development Foundation, said, "RAK Foundation is here to support the program with souvenirs, like shirts, caps, water bottles, school bags, and sanitary pads."

"Some of the participants were able to open up and share their stories, and solutions were provided," Antonia said.

Mrs. Toviho Princess Adeshola, the head teacher at KemmySam School, told News Peddlers that the program is good because the participants have gained a lot, especially the female teens. "This is to let them know about rape and make sure they say no to rape and sexual violence." She said.

The participants were excited to hear from the Lagos State youth ambassadors. The teenagers shared the problems they are going through, and mentors shared how they can tackle such problems through skills and ideas.

Adeshola said, "Some of these girls have been abused by their fathers. This workshop and seminar will bring enlightenment to them and let them know they have to run away from rape and any form of sexual violence. And that they need to speak because this will give people the opportunity to come to their aid and help them."

"I believe this will continue because the community has benefited today, and this will further build the confidence of the girl child knowing she has some people to defend them when they are going through any form of violence." She added.

Emmanuel Godwin, a teacher at Kenny Sam School, said "This is a platform to help children who are going through challenges. This is also to enlighten society on what to do and how to address situations where a child's rights are violated."
