| Ipaje Polobi-Pologun youths present T-shirts to Hon. Sesi Whingan |
Hon. Sesi Oluwasegun Whingan, the House of Representatives Member, represnting Badagry Federal constituency, has promised to support cultural festivals in Badagry. As this is an avenue to showcase the culture and identity of his people.
Hon. Sesi disclosed this on Saturday when a youths group, Ipaje Polobi-Pologun of Adariko compound, Asago quarters, Badagry's town, visited him at his residence to seek support for Egungun Festival.
At the visit, the youth group presented branded T-shirts, face caps, and Aso Ebi to the Honorable member seeking his support for the coming Egungun festival.
Mr. Ibrahim Folorunso the youth leader of Ipaje Polobi Kingdom, Badagry, said "We celebrate Egungun festival every three years to pray for Badagry. This is also an avenue to show the world our identity and culture.
We are also using this opportunity to seek the support of the Lagos state government, governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu should give us the recognition and support he gives other cultural groups. Badagry has been neglected in past and should be rejuvenated.
The festival is scheduled to hold from August 18th to 20th, where various Masquerades would come to showcase various cultural activities.
The Honorable member assured the youths that he is in full support of the festival. And will do the little he can to support the youths. As this is an avenue to showcase the culture of the people and his constituency.
