Fami Fani-Kayode and Peter Obi |
Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, has asked Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi to leave Nigeria and never return.
Fani-Kayode, the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council's Director of New Media, said this in response to Obi's outcry that he was being pressured to leave the country.
On Wednesday, Obi accused the ruling APC and some government agencies of attempting to divert attention away from the irregularities that marred the recently concluded elections.
The former Anambra state governor said of the leaked audio of his conversation with the Founder and Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, "These have come and continued to manifest in different ways, such as the malicious accusation of the Minister of Information, Mr Lai Mohammed, the circulation of a fake doctored audio call, and pressure on me to leave the country."
Fani-Kayode responded on Twitter on Thursday, saying, "Please do us all a big favour and go!" The sooner the better, and never return!"
