Some Katsina residents have urged all presidential candidates who lost to concede defeat in the interest of the country's peace and stability.
Former PDP Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Labour Party Governors Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, and other candidates were defeated by APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, who has since been declared the president-elect.
Mr Tinubu received 8,794,726 votes in the February 25 election. Mr Abubakar received 6,984,520 votes, Mr Obi 6,101,533 votes, and Mr Kwankwaso 1,496,687 votes.

Residents said in separate interviews on Wednesday that the candidates should emulate former President Goodluck Jonathan by accepting defeat and congratulating the victor.
"They should prioritise national interests over personal interests; admitting defeat will reduce tensions and prevent a breakdown of law and order," said Sulaiman Gambo, one of the residents.
"I think it will be wrong for us to protest this victory," he added. We elected candidates of our choice, and Tinubu was the eventual victor."
Another resident, Abubakar Muhammad, urged young people not to be used by politicians to incite violence.
Mr Muhammad advised all newly elected leaders to focus on alleviating citizens' sufferings and addressing the country's insecurity and economic challenges.
Kabir Abdullahi, for his part, urged those who lost the election to seek redress through legal channels rather than using youths to incite violence.
"This bodes ill for such politicians and the country," he said.
Mr Abdullahi advised them to carry the people along in order to have an all-inclusive government that protects the interests of the people.
