Sejiro Michael Oke-Tojinu at the election |
Sejiro Michael Oke-Tojinu, the MD/CEO of Sej-Farm ventures Badagry, has emerged as the president of the Lagos State Catfish and Allied Farmers Association of Nigeria.
Sejiro, who addressed members of the association during the election on Tuesday, said it's not a sudden flight for him but a stepwise attainment, a journey, and a path to an end.
”I won’t take this greater responsibility for granted." He promised.
He solicited cooperation from all stakeholders and actors within the sector so that the association can achieve the following:
An all-encompassing and all-involved effort in Lagos State and beyond
Strengthen the Zonal Chapters existing across the state and create more across the state.
Bring on board more volunteers who will be saddled with responsibilities when the need arises, not just the executives.
All-Involving, All Relevant Stakeholders, Institutions, Government Agencies, NGOs, and Cottage Industries.
All-encompassing: robustness, research, technology, market development and expansion, new species, innovation, opportunities, and trainings, etc.
“We will go
to Sokoto together and search our Sokoto (Within and without) to get the
solutions to our challenges, both obvious and latent. We will build this
industry ourselves, we will launch into the deep, and our nets will begin to
break”. Sejiro said.
He further said, "We are pacesetters and a centre of excellence in Lagos, and we won’t perform below expectations.
"I, therefore accept this great responsibility out of every sense of humility and appreciation; so help me God!" he added.
