Hon. Sesi Whingan, the House of Representatives candidate for the Badagry Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been commended by Mr. Hunga Joshua Nunayon, the coordinator for the Asiwaju Progressive Group (APG), Badagry chapter, for his volunteerism to convey N-Skill participants from Badagry, free of charge, to the screening center for N-Skills at Akowonjo, Lagos State, on Thursday, January 19th, 2023.
The N-Skills program is in line with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) for the development, classification and recognition of skills, knowledge, and competencies acquired by individuals, irrespective of where and how the training or skill is acquired.
Speaking with News Peddlers, the APG chieftain, Mr. Nunayon revealed that when the financial challenge of conveying the applicants to the screening venue surfaced, he contacted Hon. Whingan for help, and he immediately obliged and granted them the request.
"We contacted Sesi for support, and he responded immediately by giving us his bus to convey N-Skill beneficiaries in Badagry to Akowonjo, where the screening was held."

Mr Nunayon appreciated Sesi for all the forms of community service he has been rendering to the people of Badagry, especially the youths.
The N-Skill Program was based on a certification system and accreditation of practical training provided through an informal training system.
Hungbo Abubaka a participant told our correspondent that he was opportuned to have drove the bus that too the to the applicants to the screening center.
"The release of the bus was as a result of the efforts Mr. Nunayon, and serial participants wouldn't have been able to go there if the bus was not released," Hungbo said.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Intervention is working with carefully selected consulting firms to provide N-Skills training services for 6,475 unemployed youths across the federation. N-Skills will help bridge the gap in demand for standard and market-relevant skills.
Each of the beneficiaries would go home with a soldering station (soldering iron), a digital multimeter, a set of precision screwdrivers, a repair tool kit relating to the vocation each person has chosen, and a magnifying lamp.
The information shared during the application period stated that the six months of free entrepreneurship training were meant for persons between the ages of 15 and 35.
"Interested person" or "if you have anyone interested in a six-month free government-funded entrepreneurship training program for persons from age 35 years,"
Beneficiaries are to be trained in tailoring, electrical installation, carpentry, and furniture, vulcanizing, welding, and fabrication, auto mechanics, plumbing, aluminum fabrication, baking, and catering.
The program was meant for persons living in some specific local government areas (LGAs) in Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos States, including Ibadan South East LGA.
Residents of Ibadan S.W. LGAI, Ibarapa East LGAO, Oyo West LGAI, Kenne LGA, Sagamu LGAO, Obafemi Owode LGAA, Abeokuta generally, and Lagos generally, were to be the beneficiaries.
