Yuletide: Youth Group Hosts 400 Children in Badagry

Children hosted by Youth Artisan Initiative Foundation 


Youth Artisan Initiative Foundation hosted 400 children in Badagry for this year's celebration on Tuesday.


The event took place at El-king school Ibereko, engaged the children and their parents in several games and fun.


Sanni Oladapo the executive director of the Youths Artisan Initiative Foundation said, "this is more or less giving back to the society at large, which takes place every 26th of December."



The event entails several games where 400 children was present and "they all enjoyed it.'


It has been happening since 2014, and Badagry and its environment knows us for this day. This is a youth group, focused on building the capacity of the teaming Nigerian youth, modeling them to be good examples in the future.


We have a lot of programs in store for next year because we will be celebrating our 10th year anniversary. We promise to deliver our noble course.


Blessing Zakare the program coordinator sated that the foundation had hosted several programs for the past few years.


"Today is a fun fair day for children in Badagry, we have had several programs in the past like boy child day, girl child day, and the fight against child abuse," Blessing said.


She further commended the attendance stating that it is commendable.


 "Today’s attendant is impressive and encouraging, we want more youths to join the foundation to make sure we achieve our aims, all we need is dedicated youths that are ready to work," She added.


Taiwo Ashade the chairman of the event said, "this is a privilege and we bless God that it is a successful event.


"Before now the Foundation is known as Youth Builders but we had changed the name lately due to some necessities," Taiwo said.


"We are looking forward to celebrating Ten years of existence next year. Badagrians should be anticipating bigger and better activities next year." He added.
