Oluremi Tinubu |
Oluremi, the wife of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, has donated food and clothes to Christian communities.
Mrs Tinubu, who gave over 2,000 bags of rice and wrappers to women at a Christian Northern Nigerian Political Forum (CNNPF) endorsement ceremony in Kaduna, assured them of inclusive administration if her husband is elected president.
The various groups of northern Christians had adopted and supported Mr Tinubu in the upcoming presidential election in 2023.
Mrs Tinubu, the event's special guest of honour, insisted that her husband's track record of inclusiveness made his campaign promises about equitable representation credible.
Earlier, CNNPF coordinator Ibrahim Itodo reminded the Christian communities of the nation's need for a visionary leader.
He went on to say that if Mr Tinubu could turn Lagos state into a thriving economy, he could lead the country out of its current socioeconomic and security challenges.
He stated that the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket, which was intended to Islamize Nigeria, was a past issue that had been resolved.
Also speaking at the event was Isacc Abrak, chairman of the Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NCYP), who stated that they were there to show the world that Christians in northern Nigeria knew who Mr Tinubu was.
The governors of Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina, as well as Hafstat Ganduje, were among those in attendance.
Mrs Tinubu requested a minute's silence in memory of the 38 people killed by bandits in Kaduna's Kaura local council area recently.
