Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, made an error while speaking at the start of his campaign in Plateau state on Tuesday.
The rally was held at the Rwang Pam township stadium in Jos, Plateau's capital city.
Tinubu ended his speech by saying, "God bless PD..." and quickly corrected himself to "God bless APC."
"May God bless PD... APC. APC be blessed. APC. APC be blessed. We will be victorious. "Bless you, God," he said.
In his remarks, APC national chairman Abdullahi Adamu stated that the party must work hard to win the 2023 elections.
A party's right to remain in office is not absolute. "I emphasize hard work; I recognize the importance of teamwork," he said.
"President Muhammadu Buhari's accomplishments have surpassed those of his predecessors. Our roads and airports have been transformed during his seven years in office."
Senate President Ahmad Lawan, for his part, stated that opposition parties seeking to compete with the APC have nothing to say.
"Mr President, you are a hero of Nigerian infrastructure development." Our next president will build on this foundation. Those who wish to compete with us have said nothing. Lawan stated, "PDP had a few projects with more resources."
"Plateau was not a peaceful place for 16 years." Plateau, however, began to experience peace after Lalong was elected in 2015." Lawan said.
