BREAKING: RAK Foundation Sponsor and Equip Four Badagry Youths

Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Obani Mariam(beneficiary) and Mrs. Mary Abosede Ibilolu (CEO House of Mayrie)


Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende the pioneer Real Act of Kindness (RAK) foundation sponsored four Badagry youths to House of Mayrie fashion institute and bought sewing machines for each of them.


The graduation took place at House of Mayrie fashion institute on Wednesday, Along Old road Badagry, Lagos state.



Mr. Ogunlende commended the efforts Mrs. Mary Abosede Ibilolu the CEO of House of Mayrie fashion Institute for her willfulness to train these youths and also the student's passion to learn.




"We are here today by the grace of God, about a year ago while talking with Bose she brought up the idea that she want to train those that are interested in learning sewing. I commend her for that, rarely will you see someone ready to devote her time and resources for a year for someone else's child without anything in return, which is why I decided to work with her on this.

"Today we are graduating four students, after today they have the freedom, to establish their own businesses and move forward. There are lots of people out there that want such opportunity but they are not even aware, so we are hoping that with this several young persons would be empowered.
We hope with this more people will be encouraged to join this programme so that they can take advantage of it to make something of themselves.


"I commend the students and their tutor for devoting their time towards this, you will be used as an example to make others know this is possible because you have passed through her for a year," he said.


Ogunlende further disclosed that "I visited this place two or three times to see how they are doing because it's not about sponsoring and abandoning them, we must see what they're doing so that we can guide them, I hope next year would be more than this.

"One of the beneficiaries was presented an industrial sewing machine already, while the other three got a brand new sewing machine. With full registration to the sewing union and certificate."

The foundation decided to empower them to where they will be able to stand on their own Mr. Monday have got his Industrial sewing machine already, others were also presented brand new sewing machines to further empower them so that they can stand on their own.


"We have gone ahead to register you to the association of tailors in Badagry, paid for the registration and your certificates are ready.
He urged the beneficiaries to make sure they empower two or three people in their environment "this will help in lifting ourselves" which in turn helps the community at large. And that they should pass this message to those they empowered."


He pleaded with well-to-do Badagrians and Lagosians to try their best in lifting the younger once, the government can do it all. "All I need from you is prayers so that I can continue to do more"


Tanimowo Hosia Monday a beneficiary said "I can remember last year I got a call from RAKs office on getting there I discovered that an industrial machine was bought for me, the same time I was told to come learn sewing at House of Mayrie, which is why I have to worship this man, he has brought me from grass to grace.
I appreciate RAK and House of Mayrie for the 1 year with you, Is a great experience, God bless you."

Obani Mariam morenikeji is also a beneficiary, "Glory be to God for making me witness today, I appreciate RAK despite that I don't know him he still did as much for me, apart from this I've heard of his activities in Badagry, may God bless your foundation. And more thanks to my boss who guided me all through the year, being a fashion designer is not easy"

Mrs Ogunyemi Rainat Folashade who also benefited from from the empowerment appreciated RAK foundation and House of Mayrie. "I appreciate my boss for being able to train a married woman."

Resicat Hazan Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA)
I have been hearing RAK but today I know what it means, as a civil servant I know what's going on there's poverty everywhere, and you should try to extend this to others too. Government can't do it all that's why we are pleading with the well-to-do individual to empower the youths.

We are where we are today in Badagry because we lack economic power, we have been "Bamboozled" for a long time, that it's only the government that can do everything for us. If we can imbibe this idea of Ogunlende B adagry will become a better place.
In this environment, we compete too much which is wrong. All we need is collaboration which will enhance our development. Please let's collaborate so we can all develop.


Other Real Act of Kindness 




JANIRAK Global Recyclers  ably represented by the President Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende joined Green Janitors in commemoration of World Cleanup Day 2022.


JANIRAK as the first recycling plant in Badagry sole purpose is to deliver community and environmental empowerment, which includes waste recycling with a mission of sustainable environmental and aesthetic development.



World Cleanup Day is an annual global social action program aimed at combating the global solid waste problem, including the problem of marine debris.

This year, Green Janitors commemorate World Clean-up Day 2022 in 23 Locations across Nigeria, With 20 Locations across Lagos and three Locations outside Lagos (Akwa Ibom, Ekiti and Ibadan)


World Cleanup Day aims to raise awareness of the mismanaged waste crisis by mobilizing all interested youth, environmentalists, and volunteers to participate in community cleanup actions. Individuals, governments, corporations, and organizations are all encouraged to take part in cleanups and to find solutions to tackle improper waste management.
