2023 ELECTION: INEC Commence Ad Hoc Staff Registration

The Independent National Electoral Commission has begun ad hoc staff recruitment for the 2023 general elections.

The electoral umpire urged interested and eligible people to visit its designated portal in a statement posted Wednesday on its official Facebook page.

"The Commission has approved the reactivation of INECPRES, both the Android app and the web portal" (laptops only).

"To that end, the portal will be open to qualified applicants for registration of all categories of ad hoc staff (SPO/PO/APO/RATECHS/RAC Managers) except Collation officers."

"The portal will open on Wednesday, September 14th, and will close on November 30th, 2022," the statement said in part.

INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu stated last week that the final lists of presidential and national assembly candidates will be published on September 20. The electoral body also stated that the campaign will officially begin on September 28.
