Captain C.O Emeruah the chief security and investigation
officer CSO, visited LASU Foundation (JUPEB), warning the students against indulging
in any form of examination malpractices, ahead of the coming exams.
The CSO who visited the campus at Badagry on Friday pleaded with
the student not to tarnish the image of the institution through any means.
"The vice chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Belo, came to my office some time
ago with the mandate to make sure that your examination coming up next month is
without problems. That is my mission and I will accomplish it by all means by the
grace of God.
"We are not here to threaten you, we have information already
on some of you that may attempt to indulge in exam malpractice, and fortunately,
the institution is having a slime chance, which we won’t miss. We would not allow
anyone to jeopardize this chance," he said.
The CSO referred to the orientation seminar held with the students
on Thursday, where the Director Prof. Yunus Dauda pleaded and likewise warned the
students to exit all WhatsApp groups that are meant for exam malpractice, which
has become the latest means to share information during examinations.
“We have all mechanisms in place to apprehend any student that indulges in examination malpractice.” The Director said.
This includes the CCTV
cameras that were installed in all the examination halls for proper monitoring
of the students.
Prof. Dauda also told the students on Thursday that “as an experienced
I.T expert I know all the latest means the students practice examination malpractices
with the use of electronic devices and we are ready for any students that will attempt
it.”
The CSO advised the students that they should not allow the money their parents have spent to waste, and also make sure they try their best to protect the Image of the school.
