BREAKING: Kano Court Sentence Proprietor and others to Death for killing Pupil

BY: News Peddlers

The Kano State High Court sentenced a school proprietor, Abdulmalik Tanko, and one other to death by hanging in the state for the murder of a five-year-old female pupil, Hanifa Abubakar.

Hashimu Isiyaku was sentenced alongside Tanko for the murder of Hanifa, one of the students at Tanko's schools, Nobel Kids Academy and North West Preparatory, and both men were found guilty by the court.

They were found guilty on four counts of kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, concealment, and criminal conspiracy and sentenced to death.

However, in his decision on Thursday, Justice Usman Na'abba sentenced Fatima Musa, the third suspect, to two years in prison after being found guilty of attempted kidnapping and criminal conspiracy.

The three suspects were said to have been abducted by Tanko and demanded a ransom from her parents before releasing her, only to murder her last December.

It should be noted that earlier this year, the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, promised to sign the death sentence in the case without further delay if it was handed down by the court.
