A bomb attack on Afghanistan capital Kabul had led to the death
of 13 US military men and 18 of them injured, not less than 70 Afghans, including
28 Taliban members were recorded to have died form the twin attacks that happened
outside Hamid Karzai international Airport Kabul.
The incident was reported by Al Jazeera, which was confirmed
by the United State Officials in the later hours of yesterday Thursday.
Recording such casualties on the part of the US troops in Afghanistan,
was last in 2011.

In a statement of captain Bill Urban the Central Command spokesman
he said “A thirteenth US service member has died from his wounds suffered as a result
of the attack on Abbey Gate”.
Marine Corps General and Commander of the US Central Command,
Kenneth McKenzie Jr. Said that the US is “continuing to execute the mission” of
evacuating US citizens and likewise Afghans with legal documents.
McKenzie said “Our mission is to evacuate US citizens or third-country
nationals, especially immigrant Visa holders, US embassy staffs and Afghans at risk”.
US troops presently in Kabul is 5,800 who are making sure they
evacuate US citizens and Afghans
“ISIS gunmen also had opened fire on the crowd and US forces
after the bomb was detonated”. McKenzie.
The Defence Department had documented that since the US invasion,
after the September 11, 2021 attack, US had lost the total of 2,218 service men.
Meanwhile from the data of Brown University and the Brooking
institute, over 71,000 Afghan civilians and 66,000 Afghan military and police forces
have been killed in the war.
Speaking with Al Jazeera, President of Emergency Rossella Miccio
said “Emergency workers had received about 60 wounded Afghan civilians with multiple
injuries of chartered limbs, fractured bones and projectile wound and six dead.
McKenzie said “If we can find out who’s is associated with this
we will go after them.
“We are working very hard right now to find who’s associated
with this".
Despite claiming responsibility by ISIS (ISIL) group, there is caution on drawing conclusions on who must have carried out the attack.
