The Yoruba nation rally planned to take place in Lagos, has gotten
the support of Lagos (SNN) Nigeria’s southwest self determination group, Ilana Omo
Odua.
In a report of Southpost News, it was gathered that the group said, invitations have been sent to United Nations (UN), African Union (AU), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), European Union (EU), United kingdom (UK) and American government.
Other relevant organisations had also been invited to keep
an eye on the rally, and to know what the people really want.
Prof. Banji Akintoye, the pioneer in the demand for Oduduwa
nation has led various rally around the nation. Supporters had shown their support
during previous rallies in Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti State.
The rally which has been scheduled to take place in Lagos on July 3, various Yoruba nation agitators are expected to at the event.

Igboho, a Yoruba nation activist, Prof. Akintoye and their dignitaries are also
expected.
In a statement released on Monday by Messrs George Akinola and
Maxwell Adelye, the general secretary and media communications secretary of Ilana
Omo Oduduwa. Which was made public by Southpost News, stated that “Ilana Omo Oduduwa
and its associates have concluded arrangement, to hold the Lagos state version of
the Yoruba nation mega rally on Saturday, July 3 2021.
“It promises to be a blast, as we finally sink the ill fated
amalgamation in the Atlantic Ocean, welcome to the shining glory of the black race.”
the statement said.
It further said “the Lagos rally will be super rally storm, that
have been blowing gleefully and peacefully all over Yoruba land and all Yoruba sons
and daughters are encouraged to come out and stamp their unequivocal authority on
the land.” Stressing that “we own this space”.
The rally is going to be peaceful just as the previous once the
statement said.
“We are now taking the last leg to liberation, and as usual,
this rally will be peaceful, well coordinated and orderly. It was peaceful at Ibadan,
well conducted at Abeokuta, super orderly at Oshogbo, fantastically coordinated
at Akure and epochal at Ado-Ekiti.”
Urging Lagos state police to cooperate, just as police of other
states did during the previous rallies.
“The Nigeria police cooperated well with us in all these places.
We don’t expect it to be different in Lagos.”
Concluding the statement “Be a witness of history” charging the
people to come out that day, to witness and be part of history.
