The Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN), Lagos Chapter, to host the highly anticipated Eko Sports Tourism Fiesta 2026, promising an unconventional industry gathering that blends professional networking with competitive sporting action.
Scheduled to take place on 26 and 27 November 2026, the two-day event will be hosted at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos State. The official dates and venue were announced last Wednesday during a high-profile press conference convened by the association's leadership.
The fiesta is designed to deliver a powerful combination of sports, tourism, networking, and entertainment, offering tourism professionals an unforgettable experience away from their usual corporate desks. Whether attendees are passionate football lovers, competitive PlayStation champions, tactical Scrabble strategists, table-tennis enthusiasts, or simply looking to forge valuable industry connections, the event promises a welcoming space for everyone.
Participants can look forward to a packed itinerary featuring competitive football matches, intense PlayStation battles, strategic board games, high-value networking sessions, exciting prizes, and awards. The programme will also incorporate music, entertainment, and extensive opportunities to build lasting relationships across the broader tourism value chain.
The target audience spans travel and tour enthusiasts, professional practitioners, tourism agencies, sports lovers, and tourism students from tertiary institutions across Lagos State. According to the organisers, the fiesta provides a unique platform where tourism professionals can step out of the boardroom, take to the field, and strengthen team spirit.
The successful press briefing was led by key executive members, including the Chairperson, Alh. Mrs. Olabisi Kamar-Azeez; the Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Oyira; and the Chairman of the Central Organizing Committee and Ex-Officio, Mr. Alaketu S. Abiodun Olamide. They were joined by ten other members of the state chapter's executive committee, demonstrating a unified front ahead of November's landmark event.
