LAGOS, NIGERIA – In a move to energize grassroots participation ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, has been appointed as the Director of Youth and Students for the "Renewed Hope Agenda" in Lagos State.
The official inauguration, which took place in Lagos, Today brought together high-ranking APC officials, party stakeholders, and youth leaders. The event served as a formal platform to solidify the movement's organizational structure, with the appointment of State Directors, Deputy Directors, and Secretaries tasked with driving the party’s mandate at the local level.
Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Hon. Ogunlende described the role as a significant responsibility rather than just a title. He emphasized his commitment to translating the "Renewed Hope" vision into tangible outcomes for the state's younger demographic.
"I was entrusted with not just a position, but a responsibility to serve as the Director of Youth and Students, Renewed Hope Agenda, Lagos State," Ogunlende said during the ceremony. "I am deeply honoured by this opportunity and grateful for the confidence reposed in me to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our movement and the advancement of our collective vision."
The inauguration marks a critical milestone for the APC in Lagos, focusing on purposeful leadership and community-driven mobilization. Hon. Ogunlende underscored that his leadership would prioritize inclusivity, ensuring that students and young people across the state are not only engaged but are direct beneficiaries of the administration's policies.
