GBOJE-GBOJO, OGUN STATE — The race for the Ogun State Government House in 2027 gained significant momentum as the Yayi Achievers Support Group, alongside several grassroots organizations, officially endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (popularly known as YAYI) for Governor.
The endorsement ceremony, held on Saturday April 25, 2026 in the Gboje-Gbojo area of Ere Ward, Ado-Odo Local Government, drew hundreds of supporters, including the Yayi Farmers Support Group and the Iwoye Women for Yayi Support Group.
To mark the occasion, the groups distributed 300 food palliatives to residents and 250 exercise books to local students, underscoring the Senator’s commitment to welfare and education.
Mr. Sheriff Alani Adebayo, Assistant Director of Admin for Caucus 7202 a grassroots mobilization wing for the Senator highlighted the lawmaker’s unprecedented track record in the state.
"Senator Yayi has done a lot for Ogun since he became a Senator. As of today, we can lay claim to 114 completed roads constructed by him, not to mention numerous scholarships and JAMB forms provided for our youth," Adebayo stated.
"We are here to evangelize 'Yayism' to every corner of the state because he is a man whose achievements have surpassed those who came before him."
Adebayo further urged residents to protect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as the ultimate tool for ensuring the Senator's victory in 2027.
Chief Tijani Tajudeen Bokoh, the Baale of Gbojo and the Chairman of the Yayi Achievers Support Group, expressed the community’s enthusiasm for the Senator’s vision, citing tangible developments in healthcare and infrastructure.
"We have all seen his good works the hospitals, the schools, and the empowerments. This is why we have come together to tell the people that Yayi is the best person to follow," Bokoh remarked. "I am telling everyone in Ere Ward: come 2027, we must go out en masse to support him."
The movement also focused on specific sectoral needs, with leaders promising that a "Yayi-led" executive would prioritize agriculture and commerce.
Abiodun Owheyon, former Secretary of Ado-Odo Ota, revealed that the Senator’s team is already engaging with the farming community.
"We have told the farmers that Yayi is ready to provide agricultural implements and land to farm if he emerges as Governor," Owheyon said.
"The women are also requesting ultra-modern markets, solar power, and transformers. We are confident that Yayi will deliver on these needs once he is in office."
Hon. Amos Kunuho, Director of Caucus 7202 (Ado-Odo Igbesa Chapter), emphasized that the movement is driven by a genuine love for the Senator's leadership style. He urged supporters to work "with the whole of their hearts" for the progress of Ogun State.
