BADAGRY, LAGOS – As the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies its nationwide electronic membership registration, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, has called on party faithful to prioritize their National Identification Number (NIN) updates to ensure a hitch-free revalidation process.

Speaking during his own membership revalidation at Ward A, Asheri, in the Badagry-West Local Development Area (LCDA), Ogunlende emphasized that a synchronized NIN is the backbone of the new digital portal. He urged members across Lagos, particularly those in the Badagry division, to visit National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) offices to rectify any data discrepancies before heading to registration centers.

The Commissioner shared his personal experience to highlight the importance of data alignment. Despite his readiness, Ogunlende encountered a brief setback when he discovered his mobile number was not properly linked to his NIN.

"My message to all APC members is that they should go to the NIMC office within their council area and update their NIN. After updating, they will be able to revalidate their membership without any challenge," Ogunlende stated.

He explained that taking this proactive step allows members to complete the process seamlessly, effectively eliminating the need to spend hours in queues due to technical errors.

The Lagos APC chieftain expressed satisfaction with the impressive turnout of residents in Badagry, noting that the enthusiasm signals a strong base for the party. He reassured members that the registration window is wide enough to accommodate everyone and resolve any technical glitches.

Commencement Date: January 5, 2026

Closing Date: April 17, 2026

Requirement: Valid NIN linked to an active phone number.

Ogunlende concluded by praising the party’s transition to an e-registration platform, noting that the digital shift will create a more transparent and credible database for the party moving forward.
