Voice of Salvation Foundation Uplifts 2,000+ Widows and Needy in Lagos with Annual Christmas Outreach

OJO, LAGOS – The Voice of Salvation Charitable Foundation brought festive hope to over two thousand vulnerable individuals during its Annual Widows and Needy Outreach, distributing essential household supplies.


The event held on Sunday, December 14th, 2025. in Ojo, Lagos State, transformed into a source of relief after the distribution of essential relief items including bags of rice, clothing, shoes and sandals, yams, and drinks, directly fulfilling the foundation’s mission to “lift others in the community.



Mrs. Veronica Onyagu, metron and wife of the Director of Voice of Salvation Charitable Foundation, said the initiative is both a social duty and a sacred calling. She explained that the yearly outreach is a dedicated effort to remember widows and other needy persons, describing it as “a commission given us by God” guided by scripture. “People who have enough should try and help others who don’t have the strength to afford for themselves,” Mrs. Onagu said highlighting the foundational Christian ethics of the charity work in Lagos.


While the 2025 outreach was a resounding success, Mrs. Onyagu revealed the challenges of operating without external backing. In a heartfelt appeal to the public, she noted that the foundation critically needs support from individuals, corporate bodies, and other organizations.  



“As at today no one is supporting this outreach, which was carried out with the help of God and us in this foundation,” she stated. This call to action underscores the foundation’s desire to expand its impact across more communities in Nigeria.


Apostle Onyagu Chibike, director of voice of salvation charitable foundation etailed the broader vision of voice of Salvation Charitable Foundation. He emphasized its dedication to a wide range of vulnerable groups, including orphanages, persons with disabilities, poor widows, and other needy members of society.

The profound impact of the initiative was best captured by the beneficiaries themselves. 


Mrs. Akeem and Mrs. Magret Paul, who received the supply, confirmed that the program successfully assisted over 2,000 individuals. They expressed deep gratitude, pronouncing blessings on the foundation.


“This home will continue to flourish, and God’s presence will remain with everyone involved.” Their testimony stands as a powerful endorsement of the foundation’s vital role in providing tangible support and hope during the festive season and beyond, setting a benchmark for charitable work in Ojo, Lagos State.
