KWARA STATE, Nigeria – In a display of discipline and intellectual prowess, Corporal Abiodun Abidemi Olasunkanmi of the Nigerian Army has clinched the top position nationwide in the recent Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria examination.

The outstanding achievement was celebrated publicly by Akogun-Abudu Akinlola Olumayowa, a military veteran, security expert, and politician, who hailed CPL Olasunkanmi as a testament to relentless hard work.

According to Akogun-Abudu, who shared the news in an exclusive conversation with News Peddlers on Monday, Corporal Olasunkanmi, popularly known by his moniker "Ranger," scored an impressive 393.00 points. His name is listed with Serial No. 199 as the Overall Best Candidate in the highly competitive professional board examination.

This feat is made even more significant given the demanding nature of his primary career. Enlisted in the Nigerian Army in 2013, CPL Olasunkanmi successfully balanced the rigors of military service with the intense academic requirements of his dental technology studies.

Akogun-Abudu emphasized that the soldier's achievement shatters the myth that circumstances or profession can limit one's potential. “This humble but resilient soldier has proven that greatness has no boundaries—not background, nor uniform, neither circumstance,” he stated.

He described the success as more than just an academic victory, but a powerful symbol of “discipline, focus, and the refusal to settle for less despite the odds.” The accomplishment brings immense pride not only to the Nigerian Army but also to CPL Olasunkanmi's hometown, Omode in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The news has been met with a wave of congratulations, positioning Corporal Olasunkanmi as an inspiration for young Nigerians across the country. Akogun-Abudu encouraged the public to join in honoring the high-achieving soldier, urging, “If you believe hard work still pays, drop a word of congratulations for CPL Abiodun. Let’s give him his flowers now, not later.”
