As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos has declared that the nation could not have found a better leader than President Bola Tinubu for these challenging times.

The party asserts that his bold vision and decisive actions are precisely what the country requires to rebuild.

In an anniversary statement, APC spokesman Seye Oladejo praised President Tinubu as a "courageous, visionary, and determined" leader.

He positioned the President as the essential figure tasked with pulling Nigeria out of a "deep hole" allegedly dug by years of previous mismanagement, excessive borrowing, and corruption. The APC credits Tinubu with the uncommon boldness to confront long-standing national issues head-on.

The statement highlighted key policy decisions as evidence of Tinubu's reformist agenda. Specific mentions included the contentious removal of the fuel subsidy and sweeping interventions in critical sectors like agriculture, food security, and infrastructure.

According to the APC, these are not populist measures but necessary steps to lay a "solid foundation for national renewal" and secure long-term prosperity over short-term political gains.

Further underscoring this long-term focus, the APC pointed to the President's commitment to free technical education, supported by student stipends. This initiative was presented as a clear demonstration that the administration is investing in the future of Nigeria's youth. The party has labelled Tinubu the "reformer-in-chief," a leader with the courage to make difficult but essential decisions for the nation's ultimate benefit.

Echoing the sentiments from Lagos, the APC Chairman in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, also extended his congratulations.

In a separate statement, Okocha commended President Tinubu's "unwavering commitment" to national progress, noting "remarkable growth and transformation" under his leadership.

He urged the people of Rivers State to continue their solidarity with the federal government in the collective pursuit of a brighter, more prosperous future for all Nigerians.
