BADAGRY, LAGOS – Samuel Mawuyon Ajose the pioneer (SMA) Foundation has intervened to endorse and facilitate the relocation of the highly anticipated Growth Conference Badagry 1.0 and the Badagry Community Service Awards (BCSA’25). The event has now been officially secured at the prestigious Badagry City Hall, thanks to the direct support of the foundation's pioneer, Samuel Mawuyon Ajose.
The development was confirmed to News Peddlers by the event's organizer, Anthony Whejiepon, following a strategic meeting with Mr. Ajose. Whejiepon revealed that after presenting the logistical challenges facing the event's success, SMA committed to covering the costs for the Badagry City Hall, a central and capacious venue that promises to be a more fitting location for the landmark gathering. This pivotal support ensures the dual events, which also commemorate the 6th anniversary of Badagry Radio, are set to proceed on a grander scale.
Anthony Ola Whejiepon, Director of Badagry Radio and chief organizer, framed the occasion as a transformative juncture for the historic coastal town. He firmly stated that the events extend far beyond an anniversary celebration, serving as a strategic call to action.
“This is a pivotal moment to reposition Badagry for global influence,” Whejiepon declared, emphasizing that the conference is designed as a crucial platform for actionable dialogue among the town’s brightest minds, leaders, and innovators.
The Growth Conference Badagry 1.0, themed “The Spirit of Badagry, The Pride of Africa; Charting a Path from Heritage to Global Influence,” is structured to tackle critical development areas. The agenda features focused discussions on youth empowerment, tourism development, technological innovation, and the preservation of Badagry’s rich cultural heritage. The overarching goal is to translate the town's profound historical significance into a concrete blueprint for future economic and social prosperity.
Running concurrently, the Badagry Community Service Awards (BCSA’25) aims to recognize the unsung heroes whose selfless contributions have driven community growth. With the venue secured and foundational support in place, Mr. Whejiepon has now extended a passionate appeal to traditional rulers, political representatives, and private sector partners. He urges them to adopt this empowered initiative as a collective project, ensuring it becomes a sustained catalyst for positive development and a true "new chapter" for Badagry.
