LAGOS, Nigeria – Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, throughhis office, has facilitated the rescue of a distressed woman who reportedly attempted to file a police complaint against the scorching sun. 


The incident, which unfolded at the Panti Police Station, underscores the ministry's commitment to safeguarding vulnerable citizens, regardless of the circumstances.


According to a detailed post on the commissioner's official Facebook page, the Ministry of Youth and Social Development received a distress call prompting immediate action. The report indicated that a well-dressed woman had taken an Uber from the Lekki area to the police station with the unusual intent of reporting the sun. 


The Ministry's Rescue Team promptly located the individual, who was assessed as being in an unstable condition and required urgent care. Following the intervention, the woman was safely transported to a Lagos State-owned rehabilitation center, where she is now receiving comprehensive medical and psychological support to aid in her recovery.


Commissioner Mobolaji Ogunlende has seized this opportunity to urge the public to remain vigilant and proactive. Reiterating the Ministry's "See Something, Say Something" policy, Ogunlende encouraged residents to promptly report any life-threatening situations or behaviors that could endanger an individual's wellbeing.
