ABUJA, – The Federal Capital Territory Administration of Nigeria (FCTA) has announced an ambitious 20-day program dedicated to showcasing the transformative achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration within the FCT's education sector. This initiative aims to highlight a significant shift beyond road infrastructure to foundational human capital development.

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, made the declaration on Tuesday during the inauguration of the newly constructed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja. He stated that the comprehensive unveiling of education projects will commence immediately after President Tinubu returns from a short break.

“The unveiling of the projects executed by Tinubu’s administration in the education sector will last for 20 days,” Wike said. “This will begin immediately after he returns from a short break, after 20 days of inauguration of completed and new projects across the FCT.”

Minister Wike emphasized that the goal of the upcoming event is to demonstrate to Nigerians that the Tinubu administration is delivering a holistic transformation. He pointed out that the government’s focus is not limited to physical infrastructure but extends to critically revitalizing the education sector.

“The goal was to show Nigerians that Mr Tinubu’s administration is not only concentrating on road infrastructure but also focusing on transforming the education sector,” Wike stated.

Describing the current pace of project inauguration across the FCT as “unprecedented,” the Minister attributed this success to President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to completing abandoned projects under his **Renewed Hope Agenda.

He directly challenged critics of the administration, asking them to compare the present output with past governments. “I challenge critics to name any previous administration that has matched the current pace of transformation under Tinubu’s leadership,” Wike declared.

He added, “If there is any administration since the creation of the Federal Capital Territory that has done more than what we are doing, let them speak up now. This is leadership that is committed and leadership that is changing lives.”

The Minister revealed that a majority of the projects being inaugurated had been abandoned since 2009, primarily due to the non-payment of contractors, a situation his administration has decisively addressed.

Echoing the sentiment, the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, described the Wuye engineering infrastructure project as a testament to the administration’s resolve to deliver infrastructure that uplifts communities and restores hope.

She affirmed that with roads being dualized, long-abandoned sites completed, and new facilities emerging across satellite towns, the message is clear: “The FCT is working again under purposeful and visionary leadership.”

The upcoming 20-day education sector showcase is poised to be a definitive moment for the FCTA, providing tangible proof of the Federal Government's investment in the future of the nation's capital through its Renewed Hope Agenda.
