Southwest Nigeria Gears Up for 2025 International Tourism Expo, ATPN Unveils Strategic Committees

LAGOS, NIGERIA – In a significant move poised to reshape the regional tourism landscape, the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) South West Region under Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon the National Vice President, has officially announced the formation of its central organizing committees for the inaugural South West International Tourism Expo 2025. 


The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on December 5th and 6th, 2025, at the prestigious Lagos Airport Hotel, marking a pivotal moment for tourism development in Nigeria.


The announcement, a crucial step in the expo's planning, establishes a robust framework to ensure the event's success. Five key committees have been constituted, drawing on the expertise of top tourism professionals from across the South West states. 


Leading the overall effort is the Central Organizing Committee, chaired by the ATPN Vice President for the South West Region and includes all state chapter chairmen. This structure ensures a unified and collaborative approach to hosting an expo that aims to unlock the region's vast and largely untapped economic potential through tourism.


Each committee has been tasked with a specific critical function. The Corporate Relations and Expo Engagement Committee, chaired by Olori Rebecca Temitope Oloko, will be responsible for forging strategic partnerships and engaging key industry players. 


Meanwhile, the Publicity and Content Creation Committee, co-chaired by the VP's PMA Manoah Nunayon Kikekon and Adeola Adeniyi, CEO of Motherland TV. Attendee experience is in the hands of the Delegate Services Committee, led by Akande Emmanuel of Crown25 Voyage Consulting Ltd, and the Welfare Committee, overseen by the Chief of Staff to the VP, ensuring all participants are well-cared for.


The 1st South West International Tourism Expo 2025 is designed to be a game-changer for the industry. The event agenda promises insightful keynote addresses from global tourism leaders and high-level panel discussions on critical industry topics. An expansive exhibition floor will showcase the rich cultural heritage, unique destinations, and bankable investment opportunities unique to South West Nigeria. The expo is expected to attract thousands of stakeholders, including investors, tour operators, government officials, and media, from across the globe.
