A select group of outstanding young leaders from Lagos State have returned home after an immersive international study tour in Canada, proudly facilitated by Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development.
The transformative program, designed to equip youths with global leadership skills, concluded with a prestigious graduation ceremony at Queen’s University, Ontario, on July 18, 2025.
The IBILE Youth Ambassadors, including Badagry’s representative, Ambassador Ajande Pascal Viweavo, embarked on this life-changing experience after completing a three-month online entrepreneurship course from Queen’s University.
The program awarded them four internationally recognized micro-credentials in business innovation, leadership, and community impact key skills for Nigeria’s evolving economy.
During their week-long stay in Canada, the participants engaged in high-impact workshops, refining their critical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Hon. Ogunlende, sharing highlights on his official Facebook page, described the program as a “fusion of academic excellence, cultural exchange, and real-world leadership training.”
“This initiative is about raising a new generation of leaders equipped with clarity, purpose, and global insight to transform our society,” Ogunlende emphasized.
The study tour underscores Lagos State’s commitment to youth empowerment and global competitiveness. By exposing young leaders to world-class education and cross-cultural collaboration, the state is building a pipeline of innovative changemakers ready to tackle local and global challenges.
