FG Declares Tomorrow Tuesday Public Holiday

In a solemn announcement, the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as a public holiday to honour the late former President Muhammadu Buhari. 


The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on Monday, following approval by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, allowing Nigerians nationwide to pay their respects to the departed leader.  


The Katsina State Government has confirmed that the burial of the former President will take place tomorrow at 2 PM in his hometown. 


This marks a historic moment as the nation prepares to bid farewell to one of its most prominent leaders, whose legacy continues to shape Nigeria’s political landscape.  


As the country unites in mourning, businesses, schools, and government offices will remain closed in observance of the public holiday.
