Peter Obi Points Finger at Tinubu for Fueling Labour Party Crisis

Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, has openly accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of instigating and prolonging the internal crisis rocking the Labour Party (LP).

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Arise TV on Monday, Obi pointed to controversial remarks by Labour Party chairman Julius Abure as proof of government interference.

When questioned about his inability to resolve the party’s disputes, Obi squarely blamed the Tinubu-led government, stating, “We now live in a country of propaganda and lies. They manufacture crises. The problem in the Labour Party is instigated and sustained by the current administration.”

Pressed for evidence, Obi cited Abure’s recent verbal attack on Abia State Governor Alex Otti, where the LP chairman allegedly referred to Otti as “a dwarf with dwarf thinking.”

“When a party chairman insults a sitting governor, calling him weak, what does that tell you?” Obi challenged. “This is the kind of division they fuel. I’ve built successful businesses and chaired companies with integrity these are cheap tactics to destabilize us.”

The Labour Party has been embroiled in a bitter leadership struggle, with Abure and Otti recently clashing publicly. Obi’s allegations add a new layer of controversy, suggesting political sabotage at the highest level.
