Hon. Samson Nunayon Apata, the National Vice President Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) South West region has officially announced its first-ever virtual seminar, scheduled for June 27, 2025.


The event, designed to foster collaboration and innovation in Nigeria’s tourism sector, will bring together industry professionals, stakeholders, and enthusiasts across the South West.  


Apata confirmed this in a statement on Monday, June 23, 2025. He emphasized the importance of the event, stating, “We are thrilled to bring together tourism professionals for this groundbreaking session. 


Let’s learn, share, and collaborate as we chart new paths for tourism growth and development in the South West region on Nigeria” The virtual platform ensures accessibility for participants from across the region.  


Adding prestige to the event, Prof. Funso Afolabi, renowned Governing Council Chairman of YABATECH, and Prof. Akande Emmanuel are the Keynote Speaker. With his extensive expertise in leadership and tourism development, Prof. Afolabi’s address is expected to provide valuable insights on the theme, Sustainable Cultural Tourism Development in South West Nigeria: Opportunities, Innovations, and Community Impact.


The seminar’s agenda will focus on tourism growth, innovation, and regional collaboration, aligning with ATPN’s mission to elevate Nigeria’s tourism sector.
