David Umahi and Bola Tinubu |
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has reaffirmed his steadfast loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, declaring that after God, his allegiance lies solely with the Nigerian leader.
Speaking to journalists in Abakaliki, Umahi described Tinubu’s recent commendation of his infrastructural achievements as "worth more than $1 trillion," emphasizing that it validates his commitment to national development.
"I have told the president, even publicly, that my loyalty is to God first and then him," Umahi stated. "When a leader places such immense trust in you, betraying him would be devilish."
The former Ebonyi governor warned that anyone who betrays Tinubu after receiving such confidence would face divine consequences. He highlighted the president’s rare trust, citing how he was entrusted with overseeing a N1.6 trillion project without undue interference.
"If I ever prioritize myself, family, or friends over God, Tinubu, and Nigerians, may my prayers go unanswered," Umahi vowed.
He also dedicated Tinubu’s praise to supporters praying for his success, revealing plans to deliver 30 mega projects across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones by December 20, with contractors under strict supervision.
