Shocking Arrest: Dethroned Edo Chief & Gang Nabbed with Human Skull, AK-47s in Raid

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested the deposed Ohen of Okhoromi, Ovbokhan Kelvin, after a human skull and dangerous weapons were uncovered in his residence.  


In a statement on Saturday, the command's spokesperson, Moses Yamu, confirmed that the chief was apprehended alongside four other suspects.  


Yamu disclosed, "In a well-coordinated sting operation, the Edo State Police Intelligence and Rapid Response Squad, alongside the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, arrested the recently dethroned Ohen of Okhoromi, Ovbokhan Igbinovia Kelvin (43), along with Osarodion Omoregie (41), Charles Otasowei (55), Edwin Igbinovia (45), and Osagie Igbinovia (44)."


He added, "Recovered from the dethroned chief’s premises were two AK-47 rifles (breach numbers TH4782 and 6683), two locally made single-barrel shotguns, three empty AK-47 magazines, one OFM magazine, eleven rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and a suspected human skull."


The police revealed that investigations are ongoing to retrieve more arms and ammunition linked to the ex-chief while tracking down his fleeing accomplices.  


Edo State Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, reassured residents that the command remains committed to eliminating crime and ensuring safety across the state.
