President Tinubu Holds High-Level Security Meeting with Service Chiefs in Abuja

Amid rising security concerns, President Bola Tinubu meets Nigeria’s top military and police officials to strategize on national safety.

 President Bola Tinubu is currently in a closed-door meeting with Nigeria’s service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. 

The high-level security discussion comes just before the President’s scheduled trip to Rome for the inauguration mass of Pope Leo XIV, following an official invitation from the Vatican.  

Present at the crucial meeting are:  General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff. Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff. Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff. Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla,  Chief of Naval Staff. IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector General of Police  

While the exact details of the discussions remain undisclosed, sources indicate that the meeting will address the recent surge in security threats across the country. The security chiefs are expected to brief President Tinubu on ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, banditry, and other violent crimes destabilizing various regions.
