Chief Superintendent of Corps (CSC) Ekunola Gbenga Abraham, the newly posted Divisional Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, Member House of Representatives representing Badagry Federal Constituency, seeking collaboration and support to enhance the Corps’ efficiency in Badagry.
The visit, which took place at Hon. Whingan’s Ibereko residence in Olorunda LCDA, saw the NSCDC chief accompanied by top officers, including Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC) Oretuga Oluwaseyi, ASCI Dansu Sesi Tolulope (Disaster Management), ASCI Idowu Olusola Israel (Protocol Officer), and other key personnel overseeing intelligence and marine operations.
CSC Ekunola, who resumed duty in Badagry just two weeks ago, commended Hon. Whingan for his outstanding representation, noting that the lawmaker’s developmental strides have been widely celebrated across the constituency. He, however, highlighted critical operational challenges, particularly the need for operational vehicles to improve mobility and rapid response capabilities.
“Hon. Whingan has demonstrated exceptional leadership despite being a first-term legislator,” Ekunola stated. “We seek his support to address our logistical gaps, which will enable us to serve Badagry more effectively.”
In response, Hon. Whingan assured the NSCDC of his full backing, pledging to engage the Corps’ national leadership to fast-track solutions to their operational needs. He emphasized Badagry’s reputation as a peaceful and hospitable community, urging the officers to remain dedicated to their duties.
“Badagry is home to peace-loving people, and we will continue to support all agencies working to safeguard our constituency,” Hon. Whingan affirmed. “Security is a collective responsibility, and I will ensure that the NSCDC receives the necessary tools to function optimally.”
This engagement further solidifies Hon. Whingan’s reputation as a responsive leader committed to fostering development and security in Badagry. With his intervention, the NSCDC is poised to enhance its operational efficiency, ensuring a safer environment for all residents.
