A recent study by AXA Mansard Insurance has uncovered a troubling mental health crisis among young adults, with 44% of individuals aged 18 to 24 currently facing mental health challenges.

The findings, part of the AXA Mind Health Report 2025, highlight social media overuse and financial instability as key factors driving this alarming trend.

Youth Mental Health Crisis: Nearly half of young adults report mental health struggles, signaling an urgent need for intervention.

Workplace Stress Impact: Employees face growing pressures from heavy workloads, tight deadlines, and poor work-life balance.

Call for Action: Business leaders and policymakers must prioritize mental wellness initiatives to support vulnerable groups.

Omowunmi Adewusi, AXA Mansard’s General Counsel and HR Director, emphasized the report’s critical insights:

"The state of global mental health remains concerning, with many individuals battling untreated conditions. Our research reveals a disturbing rise in youth mental health issues, alongside workplace stressors that demand immediate attention."

The study, conducted in partnership with IPSOS, surveyed 17,000 respondents across 16 countries, making it one of the most comprehensive mental health reports to date. Experts warn that without proactive measures—such as workplace wellness programs and youth-focused mental health support—these trends could worsen.

AXA Mansard continues to advocate for mental health awareness, stigma reduction, and holistic well-being solutions. Adewusi urged stakeholders to act:

"We must foster a culture that prioritizes mental health, empowering individuals to thrive both personally and professionally."

As mental health concerns escalate globally, this report serves as a crucial wake-up call for businesses, governments, and communities to invest in sustainable mental wellness strategies.
