Prophetess, Bola Obanla, has contracted six legion officers who disguised as military personnel to brutalize and cart away 1 million worth of yam owned to Mr. Igwe David, a farmer and resident at Kento Zebbe, Ere road, Ado-Odo Local Council Development Area of Ogun State.


Obanla on January 13, 2025, went to David's house with six Legion officers, who attacked him with a knife and destroyed his property after he escaped for his life, his house was looted and 1 million worth of yam was carted away.



David who spoke with News Peddlers said, "I was contracted by Prophetess, Bola Obanla, to help her to plant rice, and an agreement was reached to pay N100,000 and payment was made installmentally.


Thereafter, Mr Igwe David planted the rice as agreed and was paid N50,000 as part payment, which is the remaining N50,000. The prophetess defaulted in payment of the balance while she further went ahead to harvest the rice without David's consent.  


"It was when the rice wasn't good enough due to poor harvesting procedure that Obanla sent some hoodlums masquerading as soldiers in legion outfits and seriously assaulted me. It was a bloodbath party for me," a major part of his body was brutally assaulted, and he was hospitalised.


He said the matter was reported to the Divisional police headquarters in Ado-Ota, Ogun State, initially, Obanla was invited to the police station before the case was discarded.


It was gathered that Obanla was said to be planning to leave the country and a petition had been written to the Nigerian embassy to stop Obanla from travelling out of the country until the case is cleared.


He added tha, "We hope that the Nigerian government and the Nigerian Police will wade in and make every necessary arrest in this public humiliation show."


As at the time, the news was gathered all efforts to contact Ologo Ariola the personal assistant to Obanla was not successful.
